Senior Vice President/Industrial after a 35 year after a 35 year career with Eastern Utilities Associates (E.U.A.). Mr. Lavoie retired in 1995 as Vice President of its Eastern Edison Company subsidiary. He joins Thomas Stanton, Senior Vice President and Bernard P. Giroux, Senior Vice President in Giroux & Company’s Industrial Property Sales and Leasing Divisions.

In addition to being licensed in real estate, Mr. Lavoie is a registered Professional Engineer in Massachusetts with extensive industrial engineering experience.

While with E.U.A., Mr. Lavoie worked with industries throughout Southeastern Massachusetts. He conducted real estate transactions involving company properties, and transmission line right-of-way acquisitions. He worked closely with industrial property users, owners, and developers and has acquired a wealth of knowledge and experience in industrial real estate utilization and development in this region.

For the past 16 years, he has served as a Board Member of the Greater Fall River Development Corporation and served as its President from 1992-1994. With that corporation he participated in the major developments in the Fall River Industrial Park including the establishment of Molten Metals Technology and several other notable industrial facilities.

He is a Trustee of the Fall River Five Cents Savings Bank, former Board Member of St. Anne’s Hospital, Marine Museum of Fall River, United Way of Greater Fall River, Mass., Alliance for Economic Development, Fall River Chamber of Commerce and Past President of Junior Achievement of Greater Fall River, Inc.
